If you have used the filter in Excel you know you can filter by date, number values and text. But you can also filter by colour. That is the highlight or background colour or the font colour. If you want to know the top 10, or even bottom 10, in a list of data in Excel then the Filter is an excellent feature for doing that. You can see either the top or bottom items or percent. You may want to do this as your data may be changing in a report you update regularly but you do not want to have to type the data again when it is already in Excel. This is a really easy way to filter your information to get what you want and has been improved on since Excel 2003.
