Why Use a Green Screen When Making Videos

The question of using a green screen has been asked a lot this year. I think it has something to do with more people using Zoom and there is an option that says "I have a green screen" when using a virtual background. You might have seen behind the scenes footage from movies and TV show and you've seen the actors in front of a green background, sometimes it is blue, I explain the difference in this video. Using a green screen allows you to superimpose the presenter or actor wherever you want. They could be in front of a particular location or in front of a diagram. This is how they do the weather when you see it on the news. A green screen done well can look very realistic. Some other advantages include not having access when you need it to somewhere, so you can shoot it without the person in it and add it later. It might not be safe and during the pandemic where we have been concerned about social distancing it can make filming safer.
